Fame and money, well, not really. I guess this is what I'm in for though.... I don't plan to be a writer, but being an academic (a professor or scholar) seems to have a similar type of 'glamour.' I guess that's what I get for choosing one of those professions that is typically underappreciated and underpaid in our capitalist society. I complain, but I wouldn't trade my job for anything....

It's all about the fame and the money...

Some professors have groupies! Remember that scene at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the female student who blinks her at Dr. Jones to reveal 'LOVE YOU' written on her eye-lids! And the mob of women lined up at his door during office hours! I love that movie--one of the greatest of all time!
I know I've seen that movie (a long time ago, I think), but I don't remember that scene. Maybe I need to go watch it again....
