Thanksgiving Dinner

I know it's a bit early, but I made Thanksgiving Dinner today for the students in the class that I'm teaching. Since I have a class composed of entirely non-native English speakers, all of whom are either immigrant or international students, I decided it might be fun to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at my house. While I had either made or helped make nearly all of the traditional side dishes, this was my first attempt at cooking a turkey. I did the turkey in the over, and I used a simple herb recipe that I found online...and it turned out beautifully (definitely done, but not dry). My students were eager to learn about the foods and anxious to know what everything was made out of. Their favorite two dishes seemed to be the stuffing/dressing (which didn't surprise me) and the candied sweet potatoes (which did surprise me). The meal was good, my students seemed to have fun, and now I'm very, very tired and have a refrigerator full of leftovers.
