Wow, this is a post about books, and not the ones that I'm reading!!
I saw an article on yahoo! news that caught my attention: "One In Four Read No Books Last Year." As someone who reads and loves to read, this astonishes me.
Also, I've long wondered just how many people actually finish the books that they start on airplanes. People almost always seems to be starting books on airplanes, but very few people ever seem to be finishing books on airplanes. Is it just the people that I end up sitting next to, or is something more going on here....

I can answer that question! As one who always reads on airplanes, I know that you take a new book with you so that you don't have to take several. It should be long enough to get you through the wait, the flight, the time at destination and the return trip. If you are to be gone long, you take a second book along to read on the return trip. Books are expensive at airports, so you don't want to end up buying one there.
Oh, and I am reading several other persons quantity of books, because I usually finish at least three or four a month.
Thanks jp for reading my share of books. I'm one of those who probably didn't read any. I love to read, but when I start a book, that's all I want to do. And guess what? With kids still at home, there's other stuff that has to be done. I do read though - newspapers, magazine articles, LOTS of school memos, etc.
Ah - so many books, so little time.
